Autism Genes Can Add Up to Genius

A new study out of Cambridge University indicates that genes that contribute to genius in some individuals can result in autism in other individuals.  While this study only included a small number of individuals with autism, the findings are similar to that of other studies that indicates that high intelligence, particularly in science and math often runs in families who are more likely to have a child with autism.   The article also discusses other studies that indicate that possibly up to a third of individuals with autism have savant abilities.  Read more....
